Craft your own fun card

What you'll need:
• Sheet of A4 coloured card
• Scraps of coloured paper – pages from old magazines or comics, scraps of tissue paper, used wrapping paper etc
• Green pipe cleaners
• Glue
• Scissors
• Pencil

1. Download the template then cut out the shapes from it. Remember, take care when using scissors or get an adult to help. Use the shapes as stencils to draw a flower pot, four flowers and a couple of leaves on scraps of paper. Cut them all out.

2. Cut four lengths of green pipe cleaner for flower stems then glue one end of each to the back of your flowers. Trim the pipe cleaners to make sure the finished flowers will be shorter than your A4 piece of card when you are holding the card lengthways. Add small circles of coloured paper to the middle of the flowers. Glue the leaves to the stems.

3. Fold the A4 coloured card in half. Arrange your flowers on the front of the card leaving room for the flower pot underneath. Put a little glue on the back of each pipe cleaner to stick them down.

4. Glue the flower pot on top of the bottoms of the stems. Now cut out the Mother’s Day message from your template, or write your own message, colour it in, write your name on it and glue it inside the card. Now give it to whoever you made it for!
